Hello John, This is Helene L, Abbey’s mom. You helped us out a week ago when Abbey was so bad she couldn’t walk. It was so hard to put her to sleep, but I know it was the best thing for her with all the cancer that she had. I will be picking up her ashes soon; I just need to have her still here with me somehow.

I cannot rave enough about Chicago Pet Transport. I am new to Chicago and had zero pet support here. I have a rescue German shepherd/Rottweiler mix that was abused and gets extremely anxious around those he does not know. When he had to have emergency surgery to remove a malignant tumor, I was extremely stressed as I don't have a car and given my dog's size (80 lbs) and temperament, I can't just get in anyone's car with him. I called Chicago Pet Transport at 6 am and John was at my door by 8 am ready to take a nervous dog and dog owner to the hospital. He was so kind and respective of my dog's needs as well as my own. His main concern was our comfort and he put me completely at ease. I am very happy to say surgery went well and I will be using John and his company again, hopefully for a less stressful reason. I always assumed if I needed to get my dog around town, I'd have to rent a car. Chicago Pet Transport is a much more convenient and pleasant option!

This service was recommended by my veterinarian. I called and arranged the trip. John, one of the owners, arrived on time, drove us to the vet, and loaded and unloaded the carrier. When the appointment was over, he came and took us back to the house. John is very kind and pleasant. I have already recommended this service.

Chicago Pet Transport rescued my cat! I made a trip from Michigan to Chicago to take my son back to college. I stayed at a hotel, couldn't find the cat when we are ready to leave. The door to the room did not close all the way when I took the luggage to the car. I had to go back to Michigan. The next morning the hotel called - they found the cat. I didn't know pet taxis existed, so I searched the internet and found Chicago Pet Transport. John told me the process, he went to the hotel and had to capture the cat, since she was put in a room with paint fumes and was freaked out. He took the day to my son's apartment, where he had her crate. John make sure to transfer the cat INSIDE so she couldn't run away. John called to say cat was delivered, son texted me a picture of her on his bed, & a few minutes later the order from Amazon Prime Now for litter pan, litter and food arrived. I picked the cat up later that day.

This was the absolute best pet experience I ever had in 40 years of owning cats and dogs! Very professional, very reasonable price!!!

This is a great service here in Chicago. I have had two dogs who have required a lot of specialty care. John and his staff have transported me many times to and from care, professionally, safely and always with a smile and kind word. The staff said that they care for their clients (companion animals and humans) as though their clients were one of their own; I believe it! My Wolfy and I were treated as though we were family. I will be forever grateful to Chicago Pet Transport and John. When my very senior Border Collie hurt her leg (and she was too heavy for me to pick up), John came to the rescue and we got her to the Vet (2 visits actually). Now 4 months later, her leg is healed but,my sweet Mandy passed away in her sleep this morning. John just came to pick her up and take her to the crematory. John is very kind, compassionate and was a guardian angel and life saver. I would recommend Chicago Pet Transport to anyone. Definitely 5 stars.

We used with our friends this past weekend to attend PAWS animal magnetism and it was a great experience. John was prompt for our pick-up and return trip They are based on the near west side but travel anywhere in the city and take credit cards.

I was very nervous sending my kitties on a solo trip to the airport. I felt so much more anxious than any of the three of them.

John called me in advance to tell me when to expect him. He purchased carriers, and he brought them in all ready for travel. He called again when he was about 15 minutes out. He reassured me they would be okay, and promised to call me when they arrived at the airport, which he followed through on.

As hard as it was to let my babies go with, I felt confident that they were in good hands. This very much helped to put my mind at ease. I am so grateful for the professional and kind treatment of my kitties

I cannot agree more with the comment below that this service is an absolute life saver. I use Chicago Pet Transport to transport my 11 month old Boxer puppy, Sophie, to and from daycare daily. Marsha is the driver I use and she is fantastic - she is so sweet, reliable, always keeps me posted, is patient, and cares for my 11 month old Boxer puppy (Sophie) like she is her own. Most importantly, my dog is so comfortable with her. I moved to Chicago a few months ago (from NYC) and I am so thankful I found this service.

Recently, I was in Nebraska for a work trip and Sophie suddenly became very sick while at daycare and needed to see a vet immediately. Marsha realized right away that something was wrong upon picking Sophie up that afternoon and she called me to see how she could help. She volunteered to take Sophie to the vet despite already having a packed schedule that day - something she did not have to do. Marsha and her boss, John, coordinated getting Sophie to the vet while I was flying back to Chicago (flight delayed of course), and she kept me posted every step of the way - she waited patiently for the ER vet to see Sophie, and stayed with her until I arrived there straight from the airport. She was even so thoughtful to get a snack out of the vet hospital vending machine for me, because she knew I was starving!

John is also fantastic - he is super responsive and also cares deeply about helping his clients. I would recommend this service to anyone looking for a trustworthy and extremely caring group of people to look after their pets.

I called Chicago Pet Transport and the operator was very friendly and kept me calm while he dispatched a driver to my apartment. The driver came up to my apartment, put my bunny in the carrier and we were on our way. The most amazing part of the trip came when we got to the emergency vet. I was fumbling around in my coat for the tip for the driver and I told her what I was doing. She replied that she would much rather I take my bunny into the vet then stand around in the cold looking for a tip and that was all the tip she needed. I've never run into a pet service that cared so much.

I am so thrilled to have found Chicago Pet Transport....I had no way to transport my 13 year old greyhound, Quick to the vet anymore and she desperately needed dental work. She had 12 teeth removed and is like a different dog.... so peppy, trots and runs on our walks.
I had two drivers, Jim, to drop her off, and Marsha the next day to pick her up....I can't praise them enough, so kind, good with Quick and helped me feel so comfortable.

This service is a life saver. I have no car and taking cabs to the vet's office is unreliable. I have had to go to the vet 7 times in 2 weeks with 2 different animals, both with very serious issues. I needed a taxi for my dog since he had a bad limp that made touching his paw very painful. Ms Marcia came 2 take us 2 the Vet. Mind you it is super-snowy today and the streets are not clean. She made the trip anyway. Very nice caring service. The office person John was also super nice and interested in my dog's outcome. I will remember them if by chance I would ever need this service.

WOW, what a great service. We were at our wits end trying to figure out how to get our 134lb Golden Retriever into the emergency hospital. He couldn't get up into a standing position or walk. I was unable to locate any help through many phone calls until I found Chicago Pet Transport through a GOOGLE search. John answered the phone immediately, ON A SUNDAY! I told him what the situation was and he was able to get help to us immediately. Marsha arrived with the vehicle, stretcher and knowledge of how to help us out. Happy ending!! I couldn't be happier with the service and will keep their number handy. Every animal emergency care center and vets office should have the number of Chicago Pet Transport available for people that call, like we did, to get help transporting their pet.

I had a fall and had to reside in a rehabilitation facility for a period of time. My little man, Rex, was brought to me 3 times a week for afternoon visits then returned to his boarding kennel. He developed a close bond with John which continues to this day. Since I still have physicial limitations I made arrangements with Chicago Pet Transport to take Rex to his veterinarian’s appointments, have an MRI, transport him to and from his groomer, sometimes on short notice. Chicago Pet Transport is prompt, reliable, flexible and affordable

This is an excellent pet transportation service. I've used them a few times. Pricey but worth every penny: they are prompt, flexible, professional, very friendly etc. John picked up my dog and me in an SUV with half the seat down in back so I was able to sit in back while my large dog, who was very sick, laid next to me. And there was a plush comfy rug for my dog to lay on. John is a true pet lover and helped relax me on what was an otherwise stressful trip to the vet. I highly recommend this service!

My dog developed a serious eye problem and needed to get into her ophthalmologist quickly, but I was unable to leave work to take her. John from Chicago Pet Transport arranged to have Marcia pick her up, take her to the appointment and stay with her. The ophthalmologist was running very late, but Marcia stayed with her until she was able to check her into the emergency clinic. I was worried sick that I wasn't there with my dog, but CPT did what I couldn't do. It was well worth the cost for the peace of mind.

Needed pet transport services at the last minute and Chicago Pet Transport came to the rescue! Fast, reliable and efficient... I highly recommend them!

We keep using John and his company every time my babies have to go to the vet. He is always early and always so pleasant to deal with. He has been a lifesaver for us since we have no car and need an excellent service like this to help with the dogs. He's also given some great advice on which vets are good and a reasonable distance from where I live. Great company, great guy -- so happy I found them.

I had to take my foster-to-adopt puppy to a specific vet for a very important check up. I waited for about an HOUR with Yellow Cab, who claims to be "pet-friendly" to find us a suitable ride. I ended up canceling and went with Chicago Pet Transport & boy was John a real life-saver!!
He not only showed up as soon as he could, he even WAITED during our horrendously long appointment (took two hours for this vet to even see us!!) John wouldn't accept my offer of billing me for the extra hours (I felt SO bad.)

Seriously. If you are car-free or in a bind, use Chicago Pet Transport.
**Beyond all of the above, John himself is a dog-lover, and our pup absolutely adored him!!

I want to start with saying that our situation was not the usual, however, I want to make sure people are aware that this option is available and worth it.
The circumstances were unfortunate that we had to call on Chicago Pet Transport's services, but John could not have been better.

My mom, who is older and no longer drives, needed to get her pup (by pup, I mean very senior Husky/Shepard mix) to the vet for "end-time" services. This is a trying time that all pet moms and dads dread, to say the least. Uber was not an option and logistics prevented me from being able to help personally.
I called and made the arrangements for Jake and her to be picked up and taken to the vet. Sadly, Jake passed over-night naturally from old-age, but John and Chicago Pet Transport were still there to help and even waited to drive my mom back home afterwards.
Again, our circumstances for calling on Chicago Pet Transport were not the usual transportation needs they specialize in, but John and Chicago Pet Transport were amazing. I HIGHLY recommend, whatever your needs are, normal vet visits, getting to and from airports, events, etc.
